The First Unitarian Church of OKC Memorial Garden was founded by Jim Rice in 1987. It consists of two plots located on both sides of the entrance to the church from the Allen Courtyard. There is a one-time interment fee of $225, which can be paid at the time of death or in advance. This pays for the interment of ashes and a bronze plaque, identifying the deceased, which is attached to one of the granite stones. A short memorial service may be performed at the time of interment of ashes. For many years the Grounds Committee tended to the garden and currently the Gardening Covenant Group takes care of maintaining the landscaping.
