“Feet of Clay:  Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, UUs, and July 4”

On this July 4 weekend, nearly 250 years after the Declaration of Independence was proclaimed, we explore the legacies, good and bad, that the founders left us and where we are on fulfilling our ideals of equality, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, along with a cautious celebration of what George Washington described as “the last great experiment for promoting human happiness.”
