It is said that at this time of year, as we move into a time of cold and long, dark nights, the veil between the living and the dead becomes thin and it becomes easier to communicate with those who have passed from this life. Many cultures build shrines to honor their loved ones who have passed on. During our multigenerational service today, we’ll make our own shrines and memorials and remember the ways that those who have died still have a part to play in our lives.
