For Your Safety: Information on: What to Do in Case of an Emergency involving Weather, Fire, Medical, or an Intruder

WEATHER In the event of severe weather that requires the church building to be closed, an announcement will be posted on major TV channels, the 1UC Facebook Page, and the Oklahoman.

IN CASE OF TORNADO Follow church leaders and ushers. They will lead you to a safe space.

VIOLENT INTRUDER There is a safety plan in place for children. Teachers in the classrooms will secure the children.

For people in the sanctuary, follow the church leaders and ushers. They will guide you to a safe space.

Reasons to invoke the lockdown procedure:

• Observation of gunshots or screams.
• Word of mouth.
• Siren broadcast from the sanctuary.

FIRE EMERGENCY Fire escape routes and fire extinguishers are shown on the building diagrams posted near room exits. Evacuation and lockdown diagrams are posted throughout the building.

Current gathering points are North and East across NW 13^th Street.

If you have children in the classrooms the teachers will direct and lead them out of the building in case of fire. Please do not go to get your children but meet them at the gathering points.

WE WANT YOU TO FEEL SAFE WHEN YOU COME THROUGH OUR DOORS

In case of a fire and if the fire alarm located at all exits has not been pulled, please activate the fire alarm!

MEDICAL EMERGENCY 

We have several physicians, nurses, and medical personnel attending our church who have agreed to provide medical help if needed. Everyone else, except family, please clear the immediate area so that qualified persons can easily get to the individual.

The AED defibrillator is located in the hall outside Daniel Hall. First aid equipment is located in the hall outside of the kitchen and outside of the nursery.

Emergency personnel will be called with 911.

Someone will be directed to go outside to meet emergency responders and direct them to the individual.
