Sunday Mornings and Worship

Our Religious Exploration time for children and youth begins at 11am on Sunday Mornings.  But what happens after 11:00 am depends on the week:

Regular Sunday: Most Sundays will see the children and youth stay in the worship service for about twenty minutes or so – until the Time for All Ages portion of the worship service is over.  The children and youth will then be sung off to their classes, which run until 12:30 pm.  Worship ends at 12:00 pm, which means parents/guardians have a half hour post-service for coffee hour and chatting before needing to pick up their kids from RE.  Please pick up your kids in their classrooms at 12:30 pm.

Multi-Gen Sunday: Around once a month, we have a special “Multigen Service.”  This means that all ages stay for the entire worship service.  Most of these special services are tied to a holiday or other special recognition.  On these Sundays, arrive for worship at 11:00 am and everyone stays for the entire worship (aka, no classes!)  These worship services are intentionally designed by our worship team to be family and kid friendly.

Chapel Sunday: Chapel Sunday: Our chapel Sundays return this year!  On these Sundays, either the first or second week of the month (depending on holidays), children and youth start off up in the Chapel upstairs for a special children’s chapel led by Tim.  After the chapel, children and youth will have a special curriculum lesson that day that directly ties with the chapel theme.  And the chapel theme will tie to whatever the theme is for the adult worship that day.  The chapels will run around 20-30 minutes just like the Time for All Ages.  After chapel, children and youth will head to their classrooms and class will end at 12:30 pm.

We’ve marked these Sundays on the calendar, but each Sunday morning our ushers and volunteers will let you know whether to begin in the sanctuary or the chapel.
