Sunday Mornings and Worship

10:00 am – Classes and Snack Time

From 10:00 am -10:45 am , we have our curriculum based religious exploration program. We begin directly in our RE Classrooms!

• Nursery: Childcare Room
• Preschool: Spirit Play Room (attached to Childcare Room)
• Elementary: Upstairs, Incredible Edible Lab
• Middle School: Downstairs, Youth Suite
• High School: Downstairs, Youth Suite

We start classes off with a check in and then we see where the curriculum for that week takes us!  We believe in connection more than curriculum – we see curriculum as a tool to build connections with each other and with the universe more than something to be studied and memorized.  For details on the curriculum we use for each age, check out the age based links on the left.

At 10:45 am, students are dismissed from class and head to the Upstairs Chapel for Snack Time.

From 10:45 am – 11:00 am, we all meet up in the Chapel upstairs – all classes will head over to the chapel and meet up with their parents for a group snack time from 10:45 am – 11:00 am. Then we head down to worship together for the Time for All Ages.

11:00 am – Worship and Club Time

We begin at 11:00am in Worship.  There are occasional weeks where we stay the entire service for a multigenerational special worship, but most weeks we stay in worship for the first 20 minutes or so.  We will sing a hymn, listen to a prayer, and engage with our Time for All Ages story/presentation, which takes the week’s worship theme and makes it kid-friendly.

After the Time for All Ages is done, we sing our children and youth off to their Club time with a processional hymn.  After the Time for All Ages in Worship each week, we process out to Daniel Hall where we split into our clubs! Our clubs reflect on the general church theme each month through the shared activities.  We think one of the best ways to make friends is to engage in a shared interest!  We want a way for kids to make these connections across age groups and bond over common interests – hence, our Club Time!

• Each week we will have different clubs – some clubs might meet once a month, some might meet every week. Every week we will publish which clubs are meeting the upcoming Sunday in our weekly emails and have a list available Sunday mornings.
• New clubs can be formed throughout the year – all it takes is a couple of adults to serve as an advisor and enough (5ish) kids to commit to attend!
• Kids can choose each week which club they want to attend!
• Each week we at least have:
  • Arts and Crafts Club: A place to explore the monthly theme through artistic projects.
  • Games Club: We’ll play different games each week and talk about how the worship theme shows up in the games we play
• Our Club Time will end at 12noon/after worship each week. Parents can pick up from their club room, and youth will be dismissed to Daniel Hall.
